Description
Converted from a merchantman into a light frigate, ALFRED became the first flagship of the new Continental Navy in 1775, flying the Grand Union flag of the United Colonies. ALFRED was John Paul Jones’ first command, the beginning of his brilliant naval career. This is a kit for expert modelers, especially those who love the challenge of square riggers. Based upon the research of Larry Arnot, the instruction book is a textbook on the details of 18th century naval design and outfitting. This delightful model will fit into any décor or modest space.
